In 2014, Nina Singto, a Laos-born entrepreneur, founded Thai Esane in Nashville, TN after years of culinary influence from her family and early food ventures. The brand soon gained recognition, leading to expansion and national exposure. In 2025, Jeran Williams stepped out of his position as the business' Director of Operations taking ownership of the Birmingham location having helped open a year prior, bringing 25+ years of experience continuing the tradition of fresh, authentic Thai cuisine.

I stumbled upon Thai Esane when I was with my family in the food hall, and it smelled so good that I had to try it. I am so happy I did because it’s now my favorite Thai restaurant in the area! I tried a variety of their dishes, Thai tea and iced coffee. Everything tasted really fresh and flavorful! My family decided to get food from another restaurant, and they ended up eating all of my food because it was that good! I was so surprised with the mixed reviews, but I believe there’s a new owner so that may explain it. Pro tip, ask if they have their chocolate cake available! 10/10
